Private Topics
This feature allows members to create private discussion, and invite specific members to participate. This differs from Private Messages in that members can have multiple participants in a discussion, rather than just one.
Private Messaging
This feature allows members to send private messages to one other member in the community. These messages are only viewable to the participants. This is a one-to-one type of private communication, whereas Private Topics can be one to many.
User Defined Message View
This feature allows users to choose the view in which they want their messages displayed. This can be accomplished in two ways: by choosing a view type within the user profile or by selecting a view type in the community interface. Selecting it in the user profile results in the view chosen as the default view. If the user selects a view from the community interface, it will only be temporary. The next time the user views a topic, the user's view will be the one chosen in the profile.
Simple Chat (Using Flash 6.0)
This feature allows members to chat with other members in a seperate interface. A new link will appear called "Chat Server". Clicking on the link will allow a member to enter a chat session with other members.
Dashboard
This feature allows users to manage their forum by keeping track of hot topics, latest news, most recent posts, subscriptions, bookmarks and attachments.
Quick Reply
This feature allows users to post a reply inline within the thread view.
Favorites Engine
This feature allows members to bookmark topics and add them to their favorites list for easy viewing at a later time. The favorites listing are located within the dashboard page and listed in the side menu (if enabled).
Author Icons
This feature allows members to apply an icon to their profile to create an online "persona".
Sub-Categories
This feature adds more organizational flexibility to managing categories. Subcategories can be displayed inline with the header as links, or listed on separate rows.
Customer Support Categories
This feature allows you to optimize your FuseTalk forums to deliver specific customer support better, quickly and easily. The ability to create authorized responders within the forums who can also flag support questions as "answered".
Side Menu
This feature allows the administrator to add a side menu to the left of the forums. The side menu would be contain navigational links to discussion areas, favorites and other communities of which the user is a member.
Time Out
This feature allows the administration to place a member in a time-out state as a consequence to inappropriate conduct within the community.
Keyboard Shortcuts
Leveraging Internet Explorer's ability to recognize key strokes, FuseTalk has implemented keyboard short-cuts.
Guests Tracking
This feature allows the administrator to track the number of users who have not logged, and are browsing the forum.
Signature Blocking
This feature allows members to display or hide the signature blocks within each post. Hiding the block would shorten the length of the post.
E-mail Scrambling
This feature allows the administrator to insert a block of text to the member's e-mail address when it is displayed in the community. This prevents "spiders" (scripts that browse the internet without human intervention) from capturing e-mail addresses from FuseTalk. When an individual wants to send an e-mail to the address, simply remove the text block manually.
Password Security
This feature encrypts all passwords for increased security. Also, the administration can inforce users to choose complex passwords.
Multilingual Interface
This feature allows you to translate the dicussion forum in one of the languages packaged in FuseTalk. UNICODE is supported. Add your own language packs easily.
508 Compliance
The forum interface is Section 508 compliant.
Mailing List
This feature allows you to e-mail messages automatically to mailing list members and allows forum members to automatically receive e-mails sent to mailing list members as forum messages.
